Shihō was a graduate of the Kyōto City School of Arts and Crafts and the Kyōto City Painting College where he later became a professor. He used the nihonga style for his art which includes the seventeen paintings of flowers and (or) birds shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Shihō also published some of his art as woodblock prints.
